NZSL Community Grants - Round 7

Do you have an idea for a NZSL community project in 2021? The NZSL Board would like to hear about your ideas to maintain and promote NZSL in the your community.

The next round of NZSL Community Grants will open on 11 May 2020 until 4pm, 15 June 2020.

Important information for Round 7 (R7).

Project start date

All projects need to anticipate starting from January 2021.  This is to ensure that time is given that Covid-19 restrictions (Levels 1 – 4) come back to as ‘normal’ as possible and allow groups of people to gather together.  You will have a maximum of one year to complete your project from January 2021.

Survey Monkey Apply

All applications will need to be submitted online through Survey Monkey Apply this year.  https://nzslgrant.smapply.io/prog/round_7_expression_of_interest/ external

Want some feedback about your idea

The Office for Disability Issues can receive ‘Expressions of Interest’ from 4 -10 May 2020.  This is useful if you want to check if your project idea aligns with the NZSL Strategy (2018-2023) and to answer any other questions you may have.  Please note that we cannot provide feedback on your application content, just the overall project idea.

NZSL Strategy (2018-2023)

All applications will be assessed against the NZSL Strategy external (2018-2023).  Please take the time to read the five-year outcomes of the strategy to give your project the best chance of success.

How much can I apply for?

You can make applications for projects between $5,000 - $80,000.

When will I hear about my application?

You can track progress of your application online at Survey Monkey Apply. The NZSL Board will meet in July to make recommendations on the successful applications.  Successful projects will be confirmed and announced in October 2020.
