  • 2023 Recipients

    Six NZSL community projects were approved for grants from the NZSL Fund, totalling $175,241.00.

  • 2022 recipients

    Eight NZSL community projects were approved for grants from the NZSL Fund, totalling $213,661.50. 

  • Round 8 recipents

    These projects received funding in Round 8 of the NZSL Fund, awarded in July 2021.

  • Round 7 recipients

    The Minister for Disability Issues is pleased to announce thirteen successful applications from the NZSL Community Grants, totaling $395.800.20 for the 2020/2021 financial year.

  • Round 6 recipients

    Round 6 of the contestable process for community-driven initiatives was open in August 2019.

  • Round 5 recipients

    Round 5 of the contestable process for community-driven initiatives was open from December 2018 to February 2019. The theme for Round 5 was ‘Creative Connections’. The grants total $363,204.23 for the 2018/19 financial year. 

  • Round 4 recipients

    The theme for Round Four was “NZSL in our hands: Our language, our taonga, our identity, our past, our future”. Thirteen NZSL projects in the fourth funding round have been approved to receive a total of $441,338.75.

  • Round 3 recipients

    17 projects for the third funding round were approved and received a total of $542,471.

  • Round 2 recipients

    Twenty-four projects for the second funding round (1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016) were approved and received a total of $751,114.
